The “Creatures of the Wollemi” focuses on the unique flora and fauna of Australian east coast sandstone escarpments and was a design and construction contract of a 2000m2 covered bush walk aviary, now home to over 70 species of native birds.
A painted steel wire mesh was woven in the air and supported on steel galvanized cables spanning the width of the aviary.It was connected with rigging screws to the back stayed hinged circular columns around the perimeter of the aviary walls.
